About Dr. Lexi

Rebuilding Connection. Strengthening Relationships.

Life can be rewarding—and challenging. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, individual counseling offers a safe, supportive space to gain clarity, build resilience, and move forward with confidence.

A Message From Dr. Lexi

Unfortunately, many couples put off seeking counseling until there’s a crisis or the wounds are so deep. So often, couples don’t even know what they’re fighting about or for. Instead, they are just reacting — finding themselves in a never-ending conflict cycle.

Dr. Sue Johnson, a primary founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), refers to this conflict cycle as “the dance.” Often one person pursues, hoping that this time they will reach their partner and communicate their pain, while the other retreats, feeling hopeless and helpless — maybe even wondering if they should give up.

Helping couples slow down and discover what they’re truly feeling underneath the anger, frustration, and even tears can support each person to finally open up, communicate, and be heard. Frequently, the miscommunications and conflicts leave both people feeling unloved and unimportant — that is the true pain.

In therapy, my goal is to help each of you communicate what you are actually feeling while developing empathy for your partner. Validation does not mean you agree — it means you understand and can accept what they are feeling and why. Together, we work to find the connection that brought you together, remember why you matter to each other, and learn to short-circuit conflicts so you can be close once again.

Connection is possible. ♡

The Goal Isn’t To Win

One of the most important shifts couples can make is moving away from trying to determine who is right and who is wrong. In counseling, the focus becomes understanding each other’s experience, repairing emotional injuries, and protecting the relationship you both care about.

Together, we work toward creating a relationship where both partners feel:

  • Understood
  • Respected

  • Emotionally Connected
